A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US ...

The MacBeths enjoy the pleasures of operating the bed and breakfast and providing all the amenities that make each of our guests feel special. While enjoying the comfort of our home, guests can learn the history of the house and surrounding area.

We take great pride in making you feel "at home in our home".

A BIT OF HISTORY

This majestic house was built by one of the first settling families in Jefferson County in 1863 on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful land of Western Pennsylvania.  The Wallace family, being lumbermen, had the craftsmanship and natural resources to build their house big enough and strong enough to accommodate their eight children.  Eventually the house was passed on to the children. Stella, the last of the Wallaces, lived in the house until she was 84 and sold it at auction to the MacBeth family in 1952.  The Bruce MacBeths acquired the house in 1955 and raised their three children here. Today they open the doors of this grand structure and welcome you to share in its charm and beauty.
